A sun-filled hike to the beach at…
Hazard Canyon Reef
Beach access is via a trail that is somewhat sandy and leads through random coastal vegetation to the beach with the waves that local surfers enjoy year-round. That day the waves didn’t attract many surfers.
The photo I took shows the final narrow, sandy path that winds through at times winds through dense, random coastal vegetation. The path descends quickly from Pecho Valley Road toward the reef’s rocky beach where waves can be seen breaking near the shore. The sky was a vivid blue and quite clear the day I went. I spent about half an hour enjoying the view and meditating for about a quarter of that time.
