Secret Canyon, Arizona
Physics at work
The photo I took captures the intriguing beauty of Secret Canyon, a slot canyon located in Arizona. The images show the canyon’s narrow passageways and the smooth, flowing lines of the sandstone walls, which were sculpted by the forces of water and wind over millennia. Notice the walls, they have a layered tapestry of color that ranges from light beige to deep brown with accents of red, indicative of iron oxide pigmentation.
Lighting from the sunlight filters down through the canyon’s overhead openings, casting soft illuminations onto the natural striations and the serene, quiet atmosphere within the canyon. The perspective of my photo suggests an explorative path through these ancient geological formations.
